1958 Chevrolet Corvette 4-speed
Body-off Restoration
This 1958 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a rebuilt 283ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in yellow with white coves over black vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes dual four-barrel carburetors, a white convertible top, wheel covers, a Wonder Bar radio, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The car has undergone a body-off refurbishment in 2013. Service in preparation for the sale reportedly involved adjusting the steering box, tuning the carburetors, and changing the fluids. This C1 is now offered with a binder of refurbishment photos and a Florida title.
The car was refinished in yellow with white coves during the aforementioned refurbishment. Features include a white convertible soft top, quadruple T3 headlights, split chrome bumpers, fender vents, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes that the car lacks hardtop mounting holes.
Steel 15″ wheels feature spinner-style covers and are wrapped in 205/75 American Classic whitewall tires. The car came equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension and semi-elliptical rear leaf springs.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery status, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 355 miles, which is said to reflect the distance accumulated since completion of the refurbishment; approximately 10 miles have been added by the selling dealer, and true mileage is unknown.
